first, let me say I’m pretty impressed with the quality of the product however, I’m clue assessed to the installation. There are two obvious plugs that go to the back of each light then as shown in the picture below, there’s a little black cube with a electric connection to it a pigtail style connection. And a black and red wire that I’m assuming are the ground and hot respectively.
Now for this installation, I’m probably gonna pass the auxiliary switches
So that I can melt the high beam low beam switch somewhere on the dash
My question is what is that little box with the electrical connection and where do I hook that up to?
What is the pigtail for?
How do I hook it up so that when I turn the battery off or when I turn the car off, the lights go off as well
I’ve done basic light installs before, but I’ve always use the auxiliary switches which makes things very simple
However, when it comes to electricity and cars, I need to keep it very simple so I need your help who can give me a primer on how to do something like this thanks guys

The little black cube is a power relay, it separates the power to the lights from the switch. The switch only uses low amp to trigger the relay. The relay supplies higher amps to the lights when triggered. It basically keeps the switch from burning up due to higher amp draw. The relay can be mounted just about anywhere out of harms way.

thanks what is the pig tail ? where do you connect that to? and does the
relay need power ? can i connect the relay to the battery directly?
see told u i was clueless 🤣😂

and for the main power to the lights, I want to switch off when they turned the key off so does anybody know where a good switched power source is? That’s easy to get to?

And finally, I need a place inside a jeep to mount the high beam low beam swtich preferably someplace such easy to get to mounting purposes as well as when I’m driving I can just reach down and hit the higher the low beam. I have a 2024 Rubicon X and there’s not a lot of spaces left.

And lastly, I’m going to be mounting hood vent lights that are projection beam. I’d love to figure out a way to mount those maybe where the cigarette lighter goes and hook it up to my little aluminum button that says fire lasers. Any suggestions on how to accomplish that or should I just stick to each auxiliary lights switches ?

The relay does not need power. When you hook the red and black wires to the battery, it’s all taken care of at the same time.
What you are calling a pigtail I’m guessing is the third wire in your hand with a round connector.

It’s hard to tell in the picture but it looks like there is a bit of yellow insulation showing that matches the yellow wire going to the switch. My best guess is that is a wire that they intend to be tapped into a power source such as your parking lights or dash lights. It would turn on a courtesy light in the switch so you can find it in the dark. But I’m only guessing, it’s hard to tell from one picture or without being able to test it.
An easy way to turn the lights off with the ignition without cutting anything factory. Unplug the power supply from the lights wire harness on the back of the light switch and tape it up so it can’t touch anything else. Should be the red wire, but again I’m going off a single picture. The rest of the lights wire harness gets hooked up as normal to the battery.
There should be an ignition powered wire under the dash on the passenger side footwell wrapped up in tape and is intended for accessories. It’s hard to find sometimes.

Orange and pink should be ignition on power. I’d test it just to be sure. Run a wire from the Jeeps Orange and pink aux wire to the same terminal you unplugged on the back of the switch. You could also tie the pigtail/ yellow wire into that as well. if the yellow wire is a courtesy light in the switch it will come on with the ignition, but it saves tapping into factory wires.

If you don’t already have a test light you should get one.

before doing anything just hook the wire harness to your jeeps battery hook up the lights and turn them on. Then with the switch off using the test light you can determine exactly what power wire to disconnect from the switch. There should only be one wire at the switch that has power if the switch is off. While everything is out in the open you can also test the pigtail/yellow wire to determine its function as well. My guess is if you add power to the yellow wire a light is going to come on in the center of the switch.
It also wouldn’t hurt to email or call the manufacturer and ask what the pigtail/yellow wire does. I looked on their website but didn’t find much information.

thanks that was way more helpful than what the manufacturer said

“You only need to choose one between the wire harness and the pigtail. And Red for low beam, black for negative pole, white for high beam, and yellow for daytime running lights.”

the answer you gave took a lot of effort and i really appreciate it its members like you who make this forum great 👍

Well at least we know what the yellow wire is for now.
Good luck with the project.

Does that wiring harness have a fuse holder? If not, you're supposed to attach the ring terminal on the red wire to a fused switch/panel, not directly to the battery.
