STT PRO or Evolution M/T's

Getting ready for Mopar 2" and 35's for my JLUR.
Daily Driver, get snow/ice/snow packed roads a few weeks per year.
Do enough off roading (Mud) to want a bit stronger mud performance than the KO2's.
Do not want to sacrifice snow/icw/wet driving for STT Pro's

Anyone running the Cooper Evolutions care to weigh in?

The problem you're facing is that mud tires and snow tires are exact opposites. Mud tires are designed to shed mud from the tread (mud slips on mud). Snow tires are designed to retain packed snow in the treads (snow sticks to snow). A tire that claims to do both (like M/S tires) isn't going to do either particularly well.

If you want strong mud performance and strong snow/ice/wet performance, your best setup will be two sets of tires. A summer mud set and a 3PMSF winter tire set.

STT Pros are better than most aggressive Mud tires in the cold & wet. Might look into the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT, it's 3 peak snow rated and has about the most aggressive tread for an AT-based tire, and the aggressive sidewall biters are very deep.

Unfortunately, that doesn't really exist. The closest you'll get is an AT. But as you found with the KO2, mud is typically the weak spot in the "all-terrain" spectrum.

The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT might be a contender for the mud, but only 315's and narrower are 3PMSF rated. Again, it's a case of what makes a tire good in mud makes it bad in the snow, and vice versa.

In my opinion, my STT Pros have performed well in the winter slop and snow. I've had no issues.
