Just opened a Star case with Jeep to address my leaking transmission gasket. It's been to the dealership three times and it still leaks, albeit less. They've replaced the gasket three times, the pan & bolts during the last go around. Die was added to the fluid after the second attempted fix and it still appears it's the gasket/ pan interface on the drivers side rear corner and not a crack in the casting. Right now, I'm thinking it could be a poor surface machining/finishing job on the mating surface of the casting but who knows?

Just wondering about others experiences with the Star case process? Did you get timely support? Was your issue resolved completely? I want to get the factory techs involved ASAP as it seems the dealer techs have no clue what to do next, except RTV the Sh** out of it and I won't allow it. Shouldn't need it.

Next step, Lemon Law. (4 service calls for the same issue on a vehicle that I've owned for 6 months and has less than 5K miles.

Appreciate any/ all feedback or suggestions.

STAR is the dealerships extended support line, not yours. I assume you mean a jeep cares case? Or did your dealership open a STAR case?

The transmission probably requires star approval. I'd just replace the entire unit at this point and be done with it.

Customer Care I believe is opening a Star case with the dealership. Right now, I'm probably going to either lemon law it or trade it in on for a 2024. Whichever works out more in my favor. The dealership has been good so far so we'll see what can be worked out.
