Speculation Thread. What Is This Thing?

We were blocked on our way to Engineer Pass for around 15-20 mins on Sept. 5th. We were told that Colorado DOT was making a safety video, but once they let us through we saw this on the side of the trail.

The only other vehicles we saw with them where Jeeps, except for the camera buggy and the trucks used to haul things, which leads me to believe that it was something made by Jeep, a small mini-van type thing, but made by Jeep. I did get a good look at the wheels, badges where taped over, they where mostly black, seemed to have a bit of polished aluminum as an outline and no fake beadlock bolts. What I saw shape wise reminded me of my factory Willys wheels, but was not exact.

Any idea what this was?

There is the Wrangler, the Gladiator, some form of Cherokee, a long overpriced thing, and I think a tiny shit box. This thing looks to be in the "tiny shit box" category.

My thought was the Jeep EV thing, but who knows.

The Scout was a great guess so will see.
