Hey guys,

I have put on the rear alpine system in and installed new kicker speakers in the dash panels and dashboard areas. I've got the 5 inch radio, no electronic upgrades at purchase. I'm wondering why I can't get any power out of the speakers. It seems like they can get a lot louder, but the radio doesn't allow that to happen- or maybe i need another amp. Not really sure whatt the issue is. But occasionally I'll be driving and the speaker volume just turns automatically down- while staying on the same sound volume level- just producing less decibels. I live in a city and I have a soft top, so not sure how crazy I am about putting in a new screen-just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and how they resolved it. I'm running a 2020 sport.

Turn your speed sensitive volume off. Also, set the EQs below center, use the center as the upper limit. The sound quality from the 5” sucks and is very muddy and distorted.

I recently replaced all my factory speakers with JBLs. It’s clear now that I will need a small amp to get a clean clear sound from them.
