Soft Top Color

I'm in the market to get a soft top for my black 2018 JLUR. I leaning towards the tan top, but my wife thinks I'm crazy and likes the black soft tops. Figured I'd toss the question up to y'all to see if I'm crazy for liking the black and tan color scheme.

You have to be strategic here. Either one looks great, but the result of this transaction will give one of you some leverage in the future...remember when I wanted a black soft top for the Jeep and you got tan anyway...or...remember when I wanted a tan soft top and you made me get black...the former has no expiration date and can be used decades from now. The latter will probably never be used because you’ll forget. Enjoy your black soft top.

I myself would love any top in color! Bestop offers color for the JK but do not for the JL ...maybe in the future? who knows...I have a 2 door so the options are less than nill!

I think that the black and tan would look great. But, I'm kinda partial to tan anyway.

I had this back in 1988, loved the tan top.

i voted for the traditional black top because, i'm more into the darker colors. however the tan top looks good on the black jeep even the dark green. white is ok.. not crazy on any other color. i knew a guy that had a yj black and tan and i liked it.

the other thing you have to look at is how it looks on either a 2 door or 4 door. if it was me the tan top looks better on a 2 door. tan top on a 4 door sticks out like a sore thumb.

Tan looks richer (and better imo) when new, but over time it gets dirtier quicker and probably won't age as well.

I have a Black and Tan and love it. My wife was a little skeptical at first and now loves it. Plus, it stick out a bit and gives it personality. I’m thinking I will entirely get some bronze wheels to continue the Black and Tan theme.

Tan top only looks really good on certain colors. Red, white, black primarily. Looks bad on gray, silver, bikini. So so on green, orange, yellow, blue.

Voted no...not that it looks great, per se...You like what You like. What i or anyone else likes is secondary. It's Your jeep.

Well I finally committed and got the tan top. I absolutely love it, beside the fact it came with a busted gas strut. Working on getting that fixed now.
