Ordered up a set of window shades for my new Jeep 4dr. These are the kind that insert into the window channel with an adhesive backing to hold them in place. In the box of parts were also these plastic clips that can be used to (supposedly) aid in getting them to fit properly.
Almost impossible to really get a good view of the clip positioning via viewing a QR code on my phone. One really needs to have printed pictures included in the box and/or a way to view those instructions on a PC for a bigger picture.
There are three or more companys making these and mine came from PATCO. I was able to install three of them (without) using any of the clips and the windows went up OK with out interference. NOT SO with drivers side rear window. Window would make contact with lower edge of the shade and my attempts to use the clips as described did not solve the problem. Spoke with Tech Rep at PATCO and he could not really come up with a solution.
In order to get that one to fit, I had to use my belt sander and also a file to trim away the lower rear (ridge) of the shade. That allowed the window to finally close OK. Was not happy that I had to make that mod to get a fit.
I would suggest anyone wanting door shades to select another version.
