Did a scheduled service at the Jeep dealer. The car's oil life service indicator was reset correctly, but the Jeep app still shows "Oil change due" alert.

What does the dealer need to do for the Jeep app to be aware that the service was done?

I have Jeep App questions also... Is it supposed to work in real time? :) My trips info seems to be lagging by 4 days and the current status never seem to be correct. The fuel level is correct though...

The oil change needs to be summited though the dealer system. It can take a few days before the file gets processed.

It's been 3 weeks and it did not update. What's interesting is that elsewhere in the app it shows the oil life is 100%, which means the in-car oil life indicator was reset and Jeep's system read it.

I think they are referring to the Vehicle Health Report; not the service maintenance log. Also you aren't able to add/delete/modify dealer records in the maintenance log.

@ek1 this might be a bug in the Jeep app as the vehicle health report indicator for "oil change due" should get reset when the oil life indicator is reset.

Does the dealer service show up in the owners site for your maintenance records?

https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/maintenance-records.html

The dealer record for the service should have shown up by now after more than 2 weeks. If its not there then I'd contact the dealer just to make sure your records are correct for warranty reasons.

For the Jeep app, try uninstalling it from your phone and then reinstalling it and re-logging in to see if it corrects the health report indicating an oil change due. Also to see if its a bug in the app, when you go to the Vehicle Health Report at the top select the "Info" button which should show you the following

  • Fuel Level
  • Tire Pressure (assuming you have TPMS)
  • Odometer reading
  • Oil Life Remaining
Does the Oil Life Remaining indicator there match what the indicator on the dash shows?

Jeep Wrangler JL Service not reflected in Jeep app 1721689665014-q3

I know it's not my account because all the service records are showing for my Viper. Now I need to contact the dealership and fight with them to add these records :(

When they do a service, do they give you a receipt or service record? Might put that in the glovebox and disconnect the app and remove your contact info. No worries that way.

Did you add your VIN to your "garage" in the owners portal?

I'm not sure I'm following what you mean though? You know it isn't your account because it is showing your service records for your Viper? That doesn't make sense to me. When you login to your owners account on the right hand side under the "My Garage" heading does it show both your Viper and your Wrangler?

When the dealer did the service did they also provide you with a physical receipt for it? It should have the VIN listed on it; I'd check to make sure the VIN listed on the receipt matches your VIN on your Jeep (and double check the VINs on you Jeep match each other).

It is my account and all my cars are there. I know the mechanism to add service records is working because my Viper has all of it's service records added by the dealer. The issue is that the dealer that did the service on the Jeep failed to add it to the computer system that tracks it, so it does not show up on the Mopar web site.

I added all my DIY service records through Mopar and Carfax and nothing showed up when I traded it in?? Seems like a big waste of time.

I havn’t even been able to access the Mopar service records. The program asks for the VIN and when I enter it the program says it is already there. If I can’t add DIY stuff like tire rotation and oil changes, it’s a waste of time. Is there any reason to try to get all of the records into Mopar’s records or is it easier just to maintain my own records.
