Serpentine belt replacement & fitting

Has anyone changed their serpentine belt yet, if so did you remove the intercooler and heaps of other gear to get to it from the top or did you get to it from below without removing any components?

I just did this repair last month as part of replacing my alternator, fairly straight forward, you can rotate the intake without fully taking it off, then you just have to take off the alternator and the support brackets. The water cooler needs to be unbolted but it just hangs there so you don't need to fully extract it. If just doing the belt and not the pullies and tensioner you I think you should be able to keep the alternator mounted and probably the water cooler too. While I was in there I also replaced the pullies, and the belt tensioner.

You can also replace the alternator decoupling pully 920080A, but I ended up just replacing the full alternator. If you do opt to replace this part as well then you need a special pully decoupler tool (Lisle 57650 Alternator Decoupler Tool Set) and be prepared for it to be absolutely seized on.

You will need:

socket wrenches 8mm-17mm + torque wrench
24in breaker bar for belt tensioner
socket wrench extensions, some of these bolts are tricky to work around
