I was able to modify my HAM radio to xmit on GMRS so this is redundant.

I use Tidradio TD-H3 handhelds in a mode that allows transmitting/receiving on both Ham and GMRS freqs, but I hadn’t heard of a mobile unit that supported it.

I have a Yaesu FTM 500D. There's a pesky little diode that keeps it from transmitting in the GMRS freq range. Mine fell off - must have been all that bouncing around on the Rubicon
