I've got a hard top.
I've got a roof rack that has 3 equal size panels, of which I'm leaving off the one above the Freedom panels most of the time. A birds eye view of my JL would have its front on the right side of this picture:
I'd love the ability to pop the driver's side or both Freedom panels on a nice day and sit them securely on the empty middle roof rack panel with hardware surrounding each panel that might not look much different that this in profile...pardon my drawing:
This way I could push down on the Freedom Panel as it sits, say, upside down on the middle roof rack panel and the spring loaded hardware would secure around it....no straps to have to contend with.
Maybe I'll make it myself....maybe its overkill.
Switch to the soft top or Sunrider I own....?....I can't...I've got to use U-Haul trailers a couple of times this summer and they're a stickler for the hard top.
Thanks.
