Whats next fake leather seats ?
One of the best things about cloth seats is I don't have to wonder if I paid for Leather or "Leather" ya know? LOL
Next ? Wonder ? Nope- cloth or
You are either sitting on “Premium McKinley” and/or holding a“Premium Wrapped” steering wheel, or sitting on fake surrounded by “Leather Trimmed” . The absence or use of Leather is clear.

Absolutely hate fake plastic chrome, but doing a vinyl wrap or plastidip job would probably look like complete shit without taking the trim pieces off first. Thought maybe a "brushed stainless" treatment with a scouring pad might look okay, but that might turn out really bad on fake metal versus on real metal.

Maybe if @Underground Graphics made a set of pre-cut vinyl appliques that you could apply and tuck around the pieces with a thin plastic pry tool? Fitment would have to be exact to do this without tearing everything apart.

It almost looks factory even, you can't even tell that I bondo'd some holes and painted it! 🤪 ;)
I like it! Looks "battle tested" 👍

But now I'm wondering if that dent is from the head of a pedestrian 🤔

Plastidip is a good option. Just mask everything around it and spray baby spray!

people have done incredible jobs on wheels, with the tire still on, and they last a long time. so ac ring is easy.

That may be what I end up doing. That's how I got rid of the silver for the grill/headlight trim. I attempted a paint pen today but it just isn't very visually pleasing with uneven shading and going back over any spots just ruins what was already laid down. Luckily I can scrape off with a plastic trim tool. Also just tempted to tear it all down and do it right with primer and paint. Would just have to hope the wife doesn't lose her ish on me for tearing the dash down just because the silver bugs me haha!

Wonder if there's anything that would work at just staining the chrome plastic trim to a darker shade? Maybe some kind of liquid tint application or that black graphene stuff for black plastic trim restoration that would give it a more subtle "dark chrome" look. Might just end up looking dirty, though.

Plastidip is probably still a better option, since any overspray can be peeled off. Think they make a window/headlight tint which might be interesting. Not sure if I'd want to spray it inside the vehicle and trying to brush it on the liquid version would probably look like crap.

Why did you have to make it where the dash needs torn apart to get the chrome bezels out. I hate them and want them black but they've made it such a pain. I think they did it on purpose to taunt us with cheap "chrome".
If they add any more chrome, I 100% blame it on you!

I respect your OCD. I've sold Jeeps just because of a rattle.

Thanks for the tag!

We've done many dash wraps and yes, even wrapped the chrome bezels. Unfortunately, if you don't wrap around the backside of the vents they will come up. These parts MUST be take apart to do correctly, with wrap or paint.

Greg :)

I do love me some Bob Ross. I put him on the job but I don't have high expectations.
Poor Bob, did not have a ladder, how is he expected to meet those "High" expectations?
