I've been assured many of times from my mechanic that my brake pads and rotors are in good condition but still, every time I start driving and apply the brakes a screeching sounds happens. This continues for about 5 minutes of driving then stops. What could be causing the screeching if not the brake pads or rotors, and why for only the first 5 minutes of driving?
