Just last week, I ordered a Sahara JL through Craig at Koons. This forum has been invaluable in getting me a great deal so I wanted to pass along my pricing experience with 3 DC area Jeep dealers.
I first visited Farrish Jeep in Fairfax VA. At that point I was thinking a JL Sport S. They offered to order me the one I wanted at MSRP (see Jeep_page_1 & 2 attached). They perhaps would have gone lower but at that point I was still in the thinking stage. They offered me $7500 for my 2004 Jeep Sport.
At this point, I decided to upgrade to a Sahara.
I submitted a request to the Costco Auto Program. Criswell Jeep in Gaithersburg MD got back to me promptly. Through an email exchange they came back with the Jeep in (Jeep_Page_3 attached) at 9.8% below MSRP or $41,951. The Jeep was not exactly what I was looking for but was in stock.
Finally I reached out to Craig at Koons Jeep. We ordered exactly what I was looking for at 5% below invoice which netted out 10.4% below MSRP (see Jeep_page_4 and 5). Craig also indicated he would give me an additional $250 off at delivery with a Tread Lightly membership. They offered me $7,000 for my 2004 Jeep Sport but recommended I think about going to CarMax to get a better deal. Should have my new Sahara in 5-6 weeks!
Thanks to everyone for all of the great guidance!
Let me know if you have any questions.
