I purchased the Rugged Ridge Spartacus front bumper today and when I install the bumper, I want to install the red rubicon tow hooks. I can’t see to find a place to purchase them? Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

I took my stock bumper off today, and I *think* there was a part number on the hooks. If nobody gives you an answer by the morning, tag me or message me, and I will go dig them out of the box to check.

These will likely only be available from the dealer, unless someone here has taken off their stock bumper and chosen not to use them on the new one.

Give your dealer's parts department a call this AM. They'll look up the part and price it out for you. If they aren't already discounting the part for you, ask them to apply the "Mopar discount" that shows on your account (assuming you registered online with Mopar).

Good luck!

There are tons of vendors of Mopar parts online, though I think you'll find that searching for that part number (6841130AA - nice find Michelle!) will take you to a ton of distributor links. Unfortunately, most Mopar distributors provide very little in the way of product detail, other than the fact that it's a hook. I would "assume" the part number Michelle provided is tied to the red color, but just to be safe, here's a recommendation...

We have a great partner/sponsor right here in the forum: AllMoparParts.com

They have been HUGE supporters of this forum, not necessarily just because they are a sponsor, but their commitment and responsiveness to answering our questions has been second to none. Here's the link to their vendor listing on this forum: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/how-can-we-help.6130/

I've chatted a bunch with Benny, and he's researched several items for me in the past. Can't recommend them enough!

Was the Hooks easy to come off? Is there a tread for removal?
@violent_flame Since no one is offering an answer I'll give it a go. I'm assuming you have a plastic bumper as I have not taken a steel one apart. first take off the endcap covers, they are held on by plastic pushpins, then unplug the fog lights, it's a single plug right behind the bumper in the right front fender well. take out the plastic pushpins in the close-out panel between the bumper and the grill. Now there are eight nuts, four on each side of the bumper. Two are on the inside of the frame rail and two are on the outside of the frame rail. They are attached to the four studs sticking out of the tow hooks you see in the pictures above.

Now the bumper should come off, it is fairly heavy don't drop it on your feet. With the bumper laying Fog Lights down you will see the steel channel that runs across the inside, that is the "bumper" the rest is plastic decoration, If i remember correctly there are six nuts on each side that hold the steel channel to the plastic cover, take those off and the channel should lift out and you can remove the tow hooks. You can replace them with red ones or just go to the auto parts store and get "Chrysler Flame Red" paint and paint them.

One other thing to add is there is a retainer on each threaded stud holding the hooks onto the part of bumper mentioned as last part you have to take off. CUT the retainers off any way you can and get new ones for .99ea . I tried to save mine at first but to time consuming.
