You can! I just did.

Get you some 200 grit sandpaper and sand down the hooks. Then I used caliper paint that I got from Autozone. Looks better than factory and more of a shine than the normal Rubicon red.

Take a look and give me some feedback!

That looks great! Did you remove the bumper shell to get to the hooks and avoid over spray or just tape off the bumper/grill?

Looks really nice. Did you prime before the caliper paint? How many coats did you go with?

I sanded it with the 200 grit and applied about 3 coats of caliper paint..looks better than new....didn't prime as the metal (once sanded) holds the paint really well.

The bumper is easy to remove. I believe there is a youtube video out there. As far as the tow hooks, I'm not sure but I would bet they arent hard

I was thinking of painting mine white. Any pointers on paint at Autozone? Is the white Caliper paint similar or better than the Bright White paint Original color?

Did you ever end up painting your tow hooks too?

Not yet, I just am torn between painting them on or going through the laborious process of taking them off. I really want to take them off but, need time. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet either way.

I was thinking about painting mine (in place) this weekend, but I was going to try plastidip first. Probably just being chicken, but if I don't like it, plastidip comes off really easy.
