This is the model for use on Jeeps without backup sensors, it raises the spare tire bracket 2.25 inches (versus 4.75 inches for the other model). I guess if the bigger tire is too low the backup sensors detect it as an obstacle.

I ended up never using this, I got a full hinge replacement version instead.

$60 picked up in Pasadena, CA or $75 shipped.

hey, yep it’s still available. I went with the rugged ridge HD tire carrier kit, mostly because it came from the same guy I got the wheels and tires from and they are 38’s, so I was concerned about weight. If I’d stuck with 35’s this bracket would have been fine using the stock carrier.
