i have seen both as well, most likely a soft top and hard top mechanism , that's the difference maybe ...mine and all the other 2 doors JL's are more vertical at the back![]()
if so, that's a no no in the body shop industry ... but to each his own i guessIt looks like they used the roll bars from a 4 door cut to size
You are correct, this is how the rollbar looks on the 2dr. The original picture you posted is fake / poorly photoshopped.mine and all the other 2 doors JL's are more vertical at the back![]()
Yes you are right i see it. Good eye Skitter.Look at the picture. They literally cut the rear doors out of the picture. The garage door and shadows don’t line up. It’s pretty poorly photoshopped. You can see a few places they tried to smooth the editing but failed. AI would’ve done better.
Yep. Once you see it you can’t un-see it. It would be cool if the rear was slightly extended with the slant bar and a fastback hardtop.Lol i can’t believe i didn’t notice that. It’s really noticeable now.

Its not horrible and I’ve accepted how it is but i agree.. Slightly extended with the slant bar would look better.Yep. Once you see it you can’t un-see it. It would be cool if the rear was slightly extended with the slant bar and a fastback hardtop.
Sure, which is why it’d need to be extended a bit. But also many of the 2 doors only have 2 seats; I removed my rear seat years ago and haven’t put it back. It's because of how the rear passenger area relates to the "cargo" area, different between two and four door. You can't have the slanted roll bar in a two-door. Passengers wouldn't be protected in a rollover.
