I just bought the Rhino Rack Backbone system from another Jeeper who had bought a used Jeep with it installed, but didn’t want it. He gave me everything including a bag of hardware for the install. After a week, and I finally able to install and realized I am missing several if not half the bolts needed to secure the mounts through the hard top.

I spent days going back and forth with Rhino Rack customer service trying to purchase the needed parts. First off, their response time is terrible. Second, they do not sell the parts I need. Maybe I am old fashioned, but how does a company that puts out a product for sale not have the pieces to the product in case there are customer service issues? I just need the friggin bolts but have gotten nowhere with them.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can use in its place? I was looking at the metric conversions to hopefully just purchase bolts from a hardware store, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to screw up something else by doing that.

If you're missing the bolts and washers that go through the castings, then you'll have to buy new castings, most likely. Those are special bolts and you won't find a replacement at any hardware store.

Only problem is that I don’t think they will sell me just the castings either. Most likely will have to purchase the entire system
