I'm going to be replacing my rear driver side fender flare. Can someone tell me what I need to be able to do this? What clips do I need? What rivets so on and so forth?

Well OK, here is my Amazon order from Nov 2023 when I had to reattach one of my rear fender flares.
23181-6133A 50x for Jeep Fender Clips

100pcs 8mm Bumper Plugs...Bumper Shield Fender Liner Push Pin Retainer Clips Compatible with GM #1605396,Chrysler 6030441(Black)

Rexka 100pcs Fender Flare Bumper Door Trim Plastic Rivet Retainer 1/4 Hole Compatible with Chrysler 6506007AA 07-20 Jeep Wrangler

My standard metal rivet gun did not work with these plastic rivets. I ended up running to Advance Auto and getting a proper plastic rivet gun. Maybe this one...Rivet Setting Tool

I searched this forum, google, and Amazon. Found a lots of information. The parts above for me worked, but as my research showed, the fender clips sometimes required a small amount of filing to fit. Not a big deal, if you now that ahead of time.

Appreciate the info above. Are the fender clips interchangeable between JK and JL?
I need to take off a rear fender, I note JL clips are white v JK being black, I have surplus clips from my old JK, so can I use them

no sure if they would work or not..they are slightly different size but unsure if that would make a difference in how they worked.

Going from memory here...
The JK and JL use a different clip. When i was looking, sourcing the JL pn was difficult, unless I was willing to pay for Mopar parts and price. JK was easy to find, in bulk. Sourcing was also difficult because the clips are very similar, some sites claim one size fits both.

The difference between the 2 is the thickness of the post that connects the 2 "plates". Slide a small file in the 1/8"gap to knock some plastic off the post. Then the clip will slide onto the JL flare.

The 2 anti-rotation nubs fit just fine on the JL flare, as does the barbed clip into the sheet metal.
