I’m looking for suggested options for a remote start system that is confirmed to work in a ‘21 JLU with a manual transmission if anyone knows of an option (brand and model). I have limited installers in my area and I need to walk the guy to it if it’s outside his norm. Thank you in advance.

(Please, don’t waste everyone’s time and respond with an opinion as to why you think it’s a bad idea for an MT.)

It's not a question of whether it's a good or bad idea - it's a question of whether it's possible at all. Since you have to physically push the clutch to start it, there's no way to bypass that... at least I've never heard of a way.

If it were possible, you'd have to make sure it's always in neutral (not in gear) when you park it which means you'd only rely on the parking brake when parked on an incline, which isn't safe.

They have been on the market for over 10 years. See CompuStar’s website for information, for example. I’m looking for a specific model that would for sure work on a 21 JLU, not specifically CompuStar. You let me worry how to park and when to use it. Your response was not helpful or informative, thanks.

If you don't want honest answers, don't ask the question.
Having an attitude, included with your opening post, guarantees low response, or no response. Then, attitude with someone who gives a quality reply, is just not cool.
If you already know who makes the kits, or sells what you want, why are you even posting the question??

I am hoping for someone who has real experience with this, I don’t want to take a manufacturer’s salesman’s word, get it installed only to find they were incorrect. I’ve done that once already.
I had no attitude, just a specific question. The response did not answer my question, just gave “advice”. Don’t be so sensitive.

I forgot, during ESS events the motor starts without pressing the clutch pedal in so it is possible. I have no idea if that is the same though.

I think a remote start for a manual would be fine, just not something that should be offered for everyone as a standard option lol. I mocked up a remote start with an arduino and Bluetooth module for my pit bike but the range is terrible if you want to actually start it remotely lol. I'm curious to see what kind of suggestions you get, good luck with the search!
