This will be an ongoing thread of my 2020 Firecracker Red JL Rubicon w/ 6spd manual transmission.
How I got here:
While I've had various Grand Cherokees and Jeep vehicles, my Wrangler adventures began around 2018. My dad was into Harleys but I am too clumsy for a bike so I had a variety of T-top cars like Camaros and Firebirds. Eventually the need for speed wore off and I moved on to a Wrangler.
I started w/ this TJ.
Living out in the country for 17yrs, I had to have a full size truck, usually a Z71 or a RAM. The Wrangler was a toy. I wheeled it at Uwharrie a few times each year.
We moved to the beach (Emerald Isle NC) in 2021. I had accumulated a massive amount of "stuff" and downsized. I sold off my Firebirds, Wrangler, Truck and consolidated into a Gladiator.
Living at the beach, everyone has a golf cart. We decided to have a golf cart built. The cart is totally awesome:
That's great for around town but I still missed my 2dr Jeep.
The JLR Arrives:
Fast forward to 2024, and, I decided to add on to my driveway. So I picked up a Trail Boss Z71 and a 2dr JLR!
Here's the Gladiator beside the JLR - I think this is the only pic I got of them before getting rid of the Gladiator. The Gladiator is on a 2.5" lift and 39's. The JLR is on a 3.5" lift and 37's.
I bought the JLR sight unseen from a Honda dealer in Texas. Who knew you could ship a Jeep to NC for $1300?
The Honda dealer had purchased it from an auction to sell it. The Jeep was last registered in Oregon in 2023. I wonder if the old owner is on here or if they moved on to a different vehicle. Have you seen this Jeep before? It used to have a sticker on the back window which said "Oregunian".
Upon arrival it had:
So far I have:
In the near future it will get American Adventure Labs inner fenders and KBD Body Kits' poly fender flares.
I'll update this thread as I do mods and make progress with it.

Upon arrival it had:
- Tazer JL
- Cooper 37" MTs
- Bestop Trektop
- Badlands winch
- Jack
- Bumpers
- MetalCloak Jeep JL Wrangler 3.5" Game-Changer Suspension
So far I have:
- Changed differential fluid (for some reason it had fresh fluid up front)
- I went to BFG KO2 AT tires (which are actually like 36" and dropped it an inch!)
- Paint matched the D rings
- Replaced rear window
- Aux battery delete
- New H7 main battery
In the near future it will get American Adventure Labs inner fenders and KBD Body Kits' poly fender flares.
