Rear painted fender

So the other day my new white Sahara got hit in a parking lot by a guy pulling out. He stopped and I got his info. Just got it back from the shop.

I was told the fenders need to be painted. But sometimes they come from factory painted.

1) Should I have had them wait for the painted one?
2) The protective film never got put on the driver side. Is this something that can be ordered? I hate having one on one side and not one on the other. Guessing this is common but body shop was clueless.

Don't believe the fenders come painted. Just by some PPF off Amazon, cut it to size to match the other side and put it on

Find a new body shop!

I do parts for one and the shop youre working with sounds like either they dont want to touch it or are clueless. The fenders do not come painted and will need to be done by the shop. And any shop worth their salt has either a guy that can install the film or a sublet vendor that can.
