What are you even talking about proving me wrong? The RC instructions do not have you splicing into the wires they demonstrate. Perhaps you should have looked at the instructions to see how RC is running it.

Thanks that all makes sense. I'm trying to figure out what to do when I need to get the spare off though. Maybe some sort of disconnect behind the spare? I'm still researching....

I bought a hitch mounted plate holder on Az. If its going to be in the way off roading i can quickly remove it. For towing i have a dual hitch mount from HF
