My boys have injured themselves multiple times sliding into the back seat. At first I thought it was just clumbsyness but now I'm sure they can't be the only ones. Has anyone figured out a remedy for the inconvenient location of the rear door strickers? It appears that there's really no fix for it but for my kids sake I thought I'd put it out there. Thanks

My kids are all grown but the adults that have gotten in the back of my Jeep haven't had any issues. Do you have running boards for them to step on?

Of all the complaints about the JL I think this is the first time I've heard this one.

+1 on fitting steps/boards, if not presently in situ.

With respect, Derek, are your boys able to avail themselves of the factory grab handles on the B-pillars?

The jeep came with rock rails so no steps. I think you're right though. Switching to a step would help. I think the grab handle is a great idea too. I'm going to add extra handles in the back. Thanks everyone for the ideas. Hopefully these boys have no more tears, at least not from getting in the jeep!

Yes. A striker. When you pull your door handle the door latch releases from the door stricker. When you close the door the latch "strikes" a metal pin or loop and forces the latch to close around it holding it secure. That metal pin or loop is called a door striker.

@Willus

But it was spelt "Strickers" in the OP's title, not "striker"...

It was the spelling "strickers" multiple times that was confusing me. ;) Even in your explanation :) your keyboard must hate you.

I'm just having a long day and read the entire thread as "stickers". You can't even imagine the level of "o.O" my face was doing trying to figure out how your kids were injuring themselves on the door jamb placard.
