I recently removed most of my interior (including the seats) to install Kilmat sound deadener and Armorlite flooring. To remove the rear seats you must remove the spring-loaded close-out panel which is held in place by 10-12 trim clips and plastic tabs on the close-out panel itself. These clips have teeth inside that bend up and require some serious work (and potential finger damage) to get them back into position.
In addition, they grab the plastic tabs like the hounds of hell and you risk breaking them off if you do not pull the panel straight up and this is hard to do given its position and size. Rather than killing my fingers, I elected to buy new clips which turned out to be either expensive if you buy them from Mopar or difficult to find ones that match if you use another source. After some searching, I found them on Amazon though the photo does not give enough detail to know for sure.
I also wanted to make it easier to remove next time so I bought two different clips:
These are the exact match to the factory (except they are gold instead of black) - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040D0NNW. They are 10 in the pack so you could just use these if you never plan to remove the panel again.
These are slightly less robust, so I plan to install them in an every other hole fashion with the clips above at the start, middle, and end of the close-out panel - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BF64BZ1
Hope this helps someone planning to remove the rear panel!
