I know there are several threads about misc. radio issues but I didn't find one that was specific to my issue so I apologize if this has been addressed before.
My 2019 Wrangler (purchased brand new in February 2000) has random issues with the radio receiving power. I turn on the Jeep, hit the power button, and NOTHING happens. Sometimes it will come back on if I power the Jeep off, let it sit, and power it back on. Sometimes that doesn't work. Additionally, the Bluetooth function for calls won't work, but the backup camera DOES work.
In the last year I've had the Jeep at the dealership no less than 5 times (and it's currently at the dealership). They've conducted software updates (twice), a hard reset, most recently replaced the radio with a refurbished unit - which I found out is there standard replacement, and now it's back at the dealership and they can't recreate the issue so they just want to give it back to me. I've called Jeep Wave and they open a case for me but I've gotten nowhere with that. At this point, the Jeep has been there for 4 days and they want to keep it over the weekend. I'm at my wits end and I don't see an end in sight. While a radio malfunction isn't a serious operating issue, it is a feature that I paid for and I expect to work on a BRAND NEW vehicle. I can't enjoy driving my Jeep on road trips in silence.

Trade it in and order a new one. You have jeep gremlins. It’s not going to get better anytime soon.

Welcome Lisa. I wish I could help, but these new fangled electrionics are well above my pay grade. When the dealer replaced the radio did the on/off button get changed? Maybe it's something simple like that button isn't getting good contact, if that's a thing with these switches. Good luck, I hope someone stumbles onto a fix soon.

I don't know specifically what they swapped out other than the installed a "new" radio unit. I'm not sure if the power button is part of that, or a separate piece. It acts like there's a short in it. When I hit the power button I can see a slight display of light on the screen. Other than that, it just doesn't turn on.

Mine's done that a couple times, the dealership bricked my old head unit during an update and I got a new one. I don't think I've had the issue since, but I do have a massive lag between starting the Jeep and being able to control the radio.
Edit: I have the smallest radio.
I do/did, too...when it works.

I wish I had that option but the dealerships have next to no inventory and I don't think I would get enough trade in at this point. It's only 2 years old at this point. =(
I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
And I wanted this damn Jeep SO bad. I absolutely love it...other than the radio issue.

Oh Lord, I haven't the foggiest. But, it does sound like there could be a loose connect under there somewhere. Good luck, I hope it's something that simple. I've found that dealer Tech's usually go to the extreme when diagnosing a problem sometimes. Many times it's the simple things instead.

Doesn’t hurt to ask the dealership what’s it’s worth if you do a factory order.
