So I finally got around to installing my new ppe transmission pan and doing a fluid fill. It only took 5 3/4 it's. Everything I've seen and read says it should take 6-7 qts. I went through the process of shifting and all twice. Did zi miss something?

I have that trans pan and also overbought the expensive trans fluid. I realized a lot of original fluid was likely retained by the torque converter.

As long as you’re happy that you followed the fill process properly then you should be fine.
