Ordered my jeep March 7th

So I ordered my jeep March 7th2021.
I just called my dealership for the 10th time ( I know I'm impatient) . They still have no information available for me. They said because of microchip shortage, almost all orders are on standby ... Guess I won't be driving it this summer ....

I have read a couple times that the Wrangler was not really affected by the chip shortage. Lots of people on here have been ordering in the last month and gotten delivery. Might want to double check that.

Exactly what I've been reading. But my dealership says otherwise.... I've called thembmuch to often. Should I contact another dealership and see what they tell me? I even called Jeep Canada , they told me they can't do anything without a VIN.

you at least should have gotten a vin, my guess they didn't put order in, you place deposit etc? i placed my order with dealership 5/7 got vin 5/14 and hopefully since i ordered gorilla glass and all the options on a rubicon 3.6 with e-dork . last week i got a ship date of 7/24 so my build should be happening by now or before 7-24

Yes I put in the deposit, they told me that they placed the order right away... Also they told me that a VIN won't be available untill they actually start the production of my jeep...

remember that a lot of people on here are from the states, Canada is WAY slower right now, I ordered mine around the time you did, but people who’ve ordered in December even haven’t gotten a VIN in Canada

Canada is just super slow, I wouldn’t expect anything anytime soon
