Hi All - First time Jeep Owner and couldn't be more excited. I see the One Touch top came with a storage bag for the rear quarter windows, but it doesn't seem super protective for the body paint panels. How is it in practice and is there a better after-market solution?

No issues for me using the supplied storage bag. Had my Jeep with SOT for 11 months now, take the windows in/out of the bag at least 4 or 5 times a month over 6 of the 11 months. It’s very protective. I’ve never come across a third party alternative, but honestly I haven’t looked for one since the bag does such a nice job.

Okay this is great to hear. Is it like the hard top bag in that you store one paint down and the other paint up?

So excited about this Jeep.

This is my first Jeep, so I can’t comment on the hard top bag, but with the SOT bag there is a molded foam form sewn into the bottom of the bag that the panels fit down into and it keeps them separated. The bag is designed to wrap around the rear seat headrests so it will sit upright in the cargo area.

Awesome. My first Jeep too. Any tips for a newer newbie ha ha?

Are there videos or anything showing storage?

Here’s a video I came across showing removing the windows and storing them in the bag:

I assume you haven’t taken delivery of your Jeep yet? Make sure you have your salesman or their vehicle delivery specialist walk you through the process when you pick it up. That’s what mine did.

I had the same concern so I placed a towel between the panels when I stored them in the bag and haven’t had any issues.

As a side note, the guide pegs can easily scratch the paint on the rear quarter panel when you reinstall them. I learned that the hard way?.

Just got around to using the storage bag in the trunk - was surprised to see they designed it so the painted sides are facing each other in the bag. Will be doing the same as you and put the towel in between.

The bag has a felt liner that goes between the panels to prevent scratches. It works good, just use it.

I keep looking for someone to come up with a way to just store them flat in the back. quick and easy. I do not take them out often because I do not want to deal with mounting the bag behind the seats... Yes lazy ish and short ish lol
