They cancelled the crawl Thursday morning due to the beaches flooded above 25th street and no way to exit the beach due to the boardwalk. They gave us the sand course instead before the scheduled runs, we did this about an hour after 8am high tide.
I had to leave Friday for family coming into town but understand they did the crawl on Friday as weather was a lot nicer.
Below is the video of the run they gave us instead of the crawl, you can see the effects of Erin in the background.
I stayed on 37th street, the water was up to the dunes all day Thursday. The beach is a lot deeper by the pier and did not effect the course Thursday morning but the winds did get worse later in the day.

I didn't realize that the no throwing thing was a "rule" this year. I thought you just meant an individual was mad about it. I'm usually somewhere in the middle when lining up for the crawl so i almost never hear the announcements over the megaphone.
I could only imagine what stupid thing came up to cause tossing ducks to be banned.
