I'll be there early.

They open at 8:00, I'll be at the gate house at 8:00!

Not looking to do anything crazy. Just want to have a fun easy going day.

Though if a couple people show, or even just one, if the group is interested I'll do a run on Minos, but I probably won't play around with anything but the beginning of it by myself.

I'm getting my front bumper finished up this weekend, and I'll have my new engine oil pan skid plate installed. So for sure I can do some risky shit if I need to. ;) 🤙

Mino's isn't any worse than Goat and it is a fraction of the length. Just skip trail 104 and you will be fine. I can show you which ones to go up and which ones to go down if I am able to go.

Goat ate my tail pipes yesterday....

Man, I'm sad I am going to miss the infamous @Tredsdert coal rolling JL 😂.

My rock rails are supposed to show up this afternoon and I am headed out tomorrow to see what kind of trouble I can get into 😉. The idea of taking a Jeep still with temporary paper plates and getting a BOH puts a smile on my face 😁.

First time out and we don't really have a plan just going to show up and start goin down some trails. As for the trails which one is GOAT? I don't see it listed on the map. Am I that blind? I already have the 104 marked as a no go based off this thread. Any other recommendations to avoid or ones that are a must do?

Goat is at Crossbar in Davis, Oklahoma.

I wish I had a cold rolling Jeep! One of these days! :handsinair: 😍

I'd say just judge it as you go. My first time to Northwest OHV, I walked a lot of the trails before I took the Jeep down them.

Im with a stock Rubicon! lol a buddy or mine may also go.
Cool!

I got a LSD in the rear, but no lockers. In a stock Rubicon you should be just fine for a good 80% of the park.

I didn't spend a lot of time last time I went in the front half of the park over by the parking lot. So I think I'm going to spend a little more time over there this go around.

Always good idea to bring a radio. Two-way Midway radio from Amazon is always decent. I think you can get them for like $70-100 for a pair of them depending ones you buy.

Compared to crossbar, Northwest OHV is pretty small. Likelihood is if you did get stuck you'd run into someone eventually.

A stock Willys or Rubicon, or even Sport for that matter, especially with an LSD, should be able to run pretty much all the green and most blue trails out there. I took my son out there the end of July for his first time driving off-road and we ran tons of greens and blue without any trouble. We did Minos, the Rocky Bluff Loop, Wise Co Ridge trail, and explored around the Spider Web Loop trails.

Both Jeeps are lifted on 35s though, but I don't think I ever engaged the lockers on my JKUR. Only potential issue I can really think of might be clearance/breakover angle on 4drs without a lift. They also have a big air compressor at the front if you want to air down your tires and don't have your own OBA system.

I would highly recommend installing/using the onXoffroad app for navigating the park. They had a QR code at the front gate (maybe it was on the printed map they gave out?) for a free premium demo or something. All the park trails are marked in the app which makes getting around super easy. It wasn't 100% accurate, but pretty darn close.

I purchased my day pass yesterday.

When I get off of work today, I'll probably head up to Eisenhower and pick up a 2025 OHV sticker. ;)

@Tredsdert, Any chance you were out by Grand Saline, Tx. this last Saturday 12//14/2024? Thought I saw your jeep out that way on highway 80. You were heading west.

Headed towards Tyler...

I wish! I was basically home being lazy almost the whole weekend. Didn't start doing stuff with the Jeep until Sunday night!

At this point though, just the 37-in tire on the roof should make me stand out like a sore thumb!

Probably keep the Jingle Balls on there through middle of January.

What were you doing out that way?
