Hoping to get a JLL
So thinking about getting a new JL. A few questions on the top options. I was originally excited about the power but leaning towards the hard top given the snow we get here. Questions as follows:

1) are there two hard top options or one? I’ve seen reference to two but what are the differences between them.
2) how is this different from the JK hard top. I’ve seen reference to being easier to remove.
3) how easy is it to remove. Just a few latches and the three panels come off? Is this three panels (drivers, passengers and back seat or more). Does the entire back come off or just the top?
4) can you store the panels in the back of the Jeep or are they so big you need to leave them at home so need to plan on the weather that day?

Thanks!!

1) the two options are either a black one, or one to match the color of the body of the vehicle. nothing different functionally.

2) does not look to be much different at all in terms of design, other than some mild aesthetic changes. But how it latches down might be a little different, but structurally the same.

3) it is pretty much impossible to remove yourself unless you have a hoist of some sort. If you are doing it manually, find a strong enough friend to help you.

4) the front panels can be stored inside your vehicle, but you will lose a lot of cargo space. The rear part you will need to store elsewhere.

I read or heard somewhere on this forum that the JL 3 piece hard top is lighter than the JK 3 piece hard top. Perhaps someone else can confirm. But still, due to the size of the hard top (at least JLU), I don't think anyone could take it off single handedly. So you'll always need a friend or a hoist.

Too bad the 3 piece hard top doesn't have removable side windows like on the sliding power top.
