I'm looking at the EuroCompulsion tune option. I have a 2020 JLUR 2.0L. What made you change your mind about doing an ECU tune and who were you considering flashing it?

Eruocomp seems to be the only viable tune, Was going to do it with them but decided i didn't want to deal with the hassle of smog checks here in California. Im now looking at external "Trick the system" style tunes. Euro makes one, Berger makes another.

Having done the "downstream" type units on motorcycles prior to ECU flashing, I would prefer a direct tune but I'm sure Berger has a more capable unit that what I was using on bikes many years ago. The one thing I need to confirm is whether or not there is a different ECU for etorque 2.0L engines and those without it. Mine does not have etorque.

Well, You should be able to look at the part number you currently have and compare it to the one i have.

As for emissions here in Colorado, my 13 year old Infiniti with a big V8 and plenty of miles just passed so I would think a tuned 2020 Wrangler 2.0 would be fine but like they say, only one way to find out.

The site shows compatibility based on year and engine but in the notes section it lists etorque. I don't think there's a difference but I just want to confirm.

Did you notice they are currently on sale for $183 new? I saw you had $200 OBO listed.

the dealers here are 207,251, 249 oh.. Puente hills does have it for 183.. well. sounds like a good deal then. well, shoot me an offer. No idea what shipping is going to cost though.

I'm going to need to compare P/N with what is on my ECU as the infoweb is contradicting itself. I'll let you know.

The one listed below is for the 2.0L with ESS (what I have) and it's definitely different than the ECM for the 2.0L with etorque.

It took some digging on the Mopar parts page and what is frustrating is that it shows the etorque ECM as being compatible when you enter year and engine. They don't prompt for any further information in the parts search tool.

  • Notes:Engines: 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo Engine w/ ESS.
    SKU:05150861AJ
  • Applications:4x4. Recon 4x4.
  • Replaces:05150861AI, 5150861AH
