Broke the rubber trim piece that goes around the e-brake handle. I spoke with all my local dealers, searched the web, etc. I can't seem to find a diagram showing what I need to order, or if the piece I need is sold with the actual console plastic itself. I just need the trim piece though. Any help appreciated

It is #28. Any idea of the actual part number or where to order?

I'd just call the dealer parts department and ask about it, ask them to pull up the e-brake assembly and tell them #28, they have access to the same diagrams as you. I tried that with a rear bumper/fender end cap I broke one time and they were able to pinpoint it.

#28 is heat staked to Item #1 , so you will have to get the whole base console unit.. so the will need the last 8 of your VIN, they make three different options

Yeah, I was never able to find this particular exploded view, and not with this much detail. I'll try again, maybe it has been updated or something.

Thanks, thats good to know, even though I was hoping that would't be the case. Can I get a link to where you found that diagram?

I thought that might be the case. I'm probably going to have to visit mine in person I guess. Tried both local dealerships and not much help over the phone. Thanks again

Old thread but this broke yesterday and I’m at fault. My Bride put her debit card in the cup holder and when I went to retrieve it, I drop it down the E brake slot. So, thinking the piece snaps in after I retrieve the card, but that is t the case. I’m going to glue the sucker back on instead of ordering the entire piece. Definitely a “meatball” move on my part but I had the soft top down and parked at a public retail store with a few onlookers watching in me try to retrieve it.
