Hello Jeep Fam!
Recently wired up my BD S8 10" lightbar. I got the wire harness suggested for the light bar from BD as well. I installed and wired the whole thing up and wanted to test/adjust before I tied it into the AUX switch wires and closed everything up.
First thing is the wire harness has a short run to a weatherproof connector (which connects to the light bar), a longer one with the same connector at the end, a short run to an external switch (which has a disconnect in the middle of it), and a black wire with ring terminal and a red wire with a ring tern=minal, these all terminate at what I think is some sort of relay.
So the red wire goes to the appropriate AUX switch wire in the engine bay, the black runs to a ground terminal right next to where the AUX wires are, and I ran the long run (through the engine bay) out to the weatherproof connector on the light bar. I then removed the external switch from its mid run connector. The light is not working when I run the AUX switch in the truck, I hooked it up to switch 4.
While I was at it, I took the red and black and hooked it up straight to the battery and used the supplied switch and the light would turn on either.
Did I wire this thing up wrong or is it a bum light?
Any help is appreciated in advance!
