OK. I picked up my jl rubicon from Dennis Dillon ezy peri. My planned trip was to hit silver city in southwestern idaho for some off road exploration. However I had less than 100miles on it then. Picked it up with only 4 miles. But with a big storm coming in I decided to change plans I drove west to Jordan valley then up to Burns Oregon picked up the 395 south Pur about 300 miles. Tires were way overfilled 47 lbs it wandered a bit. But not bad it actually tracked better than my 08jkur when I aired down the ride was even better no more wandering. Even with gusting winds winds strong enough to blow the doors shut even with the new hinges stopped at Lakeview or.

Day 2 left Lakeview it was still raining. Strong winds etc. no problem averting about 18 mpg mostly freeway at 50 60. Crossed the border headed south. Now it’s starting to snow up pretty high 6500tp 7000 I drove down this little narrow road to take some pictures of an old barn. Snowing wet muddy had to back out. The little line in the back up camera in the middle works perfectly if you line it up over the center of the 2 track. Surprise 2 with the cold weather package the heated seats and steering come on automatically. Nice when it’s 34 and snowing. Driving up thes passages on 395 s in CA it’s got really good power to pass. Second day averting. 19.9 driving 60 to 70 occaissional spurts up to 80 a little bit of 4 wheel drive.

Overall A+++
My setup. Jlu ruby. Tow cold weather. Infotainment leather steel bumpers color matched fenders premium soft top

How was your buying experience with Dillions? I am thinking about going there as well. Did you order or just pick out of inventory?

Sounds like a great Road trip Home. How many days you taking to drive back? Last year I went to Mccall ID for Elk hunting and took 1 day to make that drive although i didnt have a nice new jeep to take my time and enjoy :)

my expiernce was ezy pezy. They were shorthanded and 6 or 7 jeeps going out that day Picted me up athe hotel ( alsaka ailines flight was another story) executed the paper work signed and off i went. Thye give youinformation to get it registered in CA YOu have to get it smogged. i did then you have to got the dmv and wait in the vehicle validation line where they give the behind the wheel test. 1/2hour than you call their registration guy and he'll get you the registration. Thy emake it as easy as anything is in CA If you don't live in CA it is easier. There was a big storm coming in so I went west to the 395 cut undert he storm and rove the 395 home, on the way I was going over some passes just north of June lake and it was snowing. I got out to take some pictures and paly a bit. When I got back in the heated seats and sterring wheel automatically come on . It was about 34 degress out. Fished rush creek out of June lake for abit but it was tooearly and the water too fast. Drove donw the 395 explored the desert some in owens valley went exploring in mazourka canyon. The Gps has roads on it that you couldn't even see inthe field they were so faded and overgrown. So on my first trip my jeep saw rain snow mud dry powder dust and rocks and I averaged 19mpg about. Now I put my foot into the pedal abit more and my mileage is about 16.7..
I would definately reccomend Dennis Dillon. Way better that here is CA

Awesome, for the small hassle of dealing with DMV on your own the savings makes it well worth it. I will be up that way in Oct for Hunting season so I will make my way to the dealer, hopefully I can place a Diesel order by then. Where are the pics?

ok so now I have had my jeep since friday may 11 I have just over 2200 miles on it. In a word absolutely awesome I do alot of driving as a geologist and the makes my life easier. for example I dorve down a little 2 track in a snow storm and had to back out but with the back up camera and the center line jut put that on the vegetation inthe middle of the road and keep it there no more awkward twisting. to back up a slight up hill. Gps is awesome there were road that wer so over grown that they were not apparent in the field. plenty of power to yes PASS other cars. averaging about 16.7 and I have a heavy foot. when it is cold the seat heat and steering wheel heat auto matically come on. The carpet inth eback stillsucks dog hair like velcro so I am getting a canvas cover for it. The only thing i am not sure about is the wifi hot spot It looks like i have to have att to set it up? But i have verizon. any one know for sure?

Here's what I did to get the wifi going:
  1. Tap the SSID and change it to something better (optional)
  2. Tap the Password field and change it something easier to type (optional)
  3. Turn on the hotspot
  4. connect the car wifi from phone or tablet
  5. Open browser, it will re-direct to the account setup page
  6. Create an account to start the 90 day / 1GB trial (standalone account, not tied to any service you have with any carrier)
  7. log in to jl wrangler forums :)
