That was our experience after using an aftermarket fuel cap for a period of time. It was purchased to replace the failed original cap on one of our Hondas. The eventual CEL compelled us to pay full freight for a new OEM cap that eliminated the codes and allowed the vehicle to pass the annual emissions inspection.
