I’ll be in Moab for a few days this spring. I’ve done some off-roading on a Russian 2wd sidecar motorcycle in the Eastern US, but this will be my first time off-roading a jeep and first time out west. I’ll be solo, and a jeep noob, so I’m limiting trails to GP and 2.0 as rated here: https://www.jeeptheusa.com/moab-jeep-trails.html

I’m running Ridge Grappler 34s and take-off Rubicon 4door springs and shocks to my 2door Sport, but that’s about it for mods. I plan on airing down tires and disconnecting front sway bar links.

What do I need to know about trail etiquette? Is there a benefit to running a hard top vs soft vs no top? Should I get a radio just in case? I know there’s a lot of open ended questions here. Any help to help me prepare is appreciated!
