Hello,
I have a 2019 JL Sport 2 door, and I was anxious to get my Bestop Targa Style Sun Bikini on. After a couple of days waiting for the required header bar to arrive, i tackled the removal of the soft top, and install of the Bikini.
I have a question in regards to the installation guide photo i have included. It states "wrap straps around sound bar and attach Snap Hooks to metal flange. I don't see these metal flanges on my jeep and am wondering if they are part of the hard top hardware? (My jeep only came with the soft top)
Furthermore, as you can see from attached driver and passenger photos, there is a large gap between Bikini and the jeep. Great for cooling in the hot sun, but not so great for keeping rain out.
Does anyone have any information on the missing flanges, ideally from someone who has already installed this same top on a 2 door.
And my 2nd (Bonus Question) - can anyone suggest a better solution for covering the driver and passenger, ideally water tight.
I see some tops also cover the speakers, these seem like a better design to me, as I am hoping to drive like this during the winter.
thanks in advance
Billy
