In July and August of 2024 This was a post on 2 door lockable storage, but the OP has not responded to replies since.

I copied John's solution and thought I would show this $100 tool box.

I ordered this 39"L x 13"W x 10"H Lockable tool box, laid out and cut four slots for the rear seat front mounts. The first thing I found that that worked to pin the box down was some framing nails. The nails are pushed between the seat mount steel loops and the bottom of the box. They seemed to lock in fairly well, so that's what I'm starting with. The empty box is around 20 pounds.

Current contents are a go bag, recovery gear, small plastic box of tools, compressor, and a few odds n ends.

That’s actually a pretty clean budget solution. Nice use of the seat mounts to keep it in place — simple but effective. Might be worth upgrading from nails to bolts or pins long-term just for extra security, but for $100 that’s hard to beat

Looks pretty great! Is it latched to the hooks?

I had hoped there would be enough room between the seat mount rings and the tool box bottom for pad locks. There's only about 1/8 inch gap. I put four framing nails per side to act as wedges between mounting rings and tool box. They hold the box down tight to the floor. Steel wedges could be fashioned to replace the nails, and I may try that in the future.
