Can’t speak on Khaotic but definitely avoid Auburn Off Road. I’m sure you’ve come across them during your search. They’re well known in the area for working on jeeps and is why I gave them a try… twice. Both times shoddy work, shady business practices, dishonest owner. Avoid.Looking at this shop in Tacoma to do some work on my '23 JLUR. Anyone have pluses and minuses for this shop?
Thanks!
Matthew
How did that work out for you? How were the prices vs workmanship? They are not too far from me (South Hill). I may have new LCAs put on once my Willys arrives.Yup. I saw them, reached out and had some great conversations with the owner. Then, when I tried to set up the actual work, he ghosted me. The Jeep is now with Khaotik. They’ve been great to work with. The owner even came in on a Sat. so I could drop off my rig. I will update when I get it back. I feel like I dodged a bullet with Auburn!
Mind if I ask how much he charged for labor to install?I cannot say enough good things about Khaotik and its owner Matt. The work was exceptional, and when I had an issue with my lockers after the regear, they were quick to fix it and sticky RSE step slider. They have been great. I will continue to use them despite the fact that it's a 45-min. drive for me. They are that great!
For a regear with Yukon gears, RCV axels, ARB diff covers, full skids from Artec, RSE step sliders, and a full Teraflex ST3 lift was just over 5K. Matt had it about four or five days, After the work, when my locker lights would not go off, he also bought and installed the Tazer plugs to make the Jeep think it was happy. I found Matt to be on par with his shop fees. I've sent a work buddy to him as well, and he's had a ton of stuff done and is also very happy. I'm going back in a few months for some more stuff.Mind if I ask how much he charged for labor to install?
I second avoiding Auburn
