I'll say having owned a YJ 2dr, TJR 2 dr, JL Sport 2dr over the last 35 yrs............The JLR XR 2 dr is the best riding suspension in any of them. The Springs are more spongey and not a bad thing. I'm staying with the stock ride.
I had a deer strike 900 miles after purchasing and it bent the stock plastic bumper so I upgraded to a RedRock steel bumper that's about 90lbs. I don't have a problem with it sagging the front end with no winch. Due to the short travel with the long bump stops on the XR front end I thought it might be a simple improvement to try rubber coil spring boosters........like 2 in each front spring. Cheap and if it makes the ride too stiff they can be removed easily. It would help keep the front end off the bump stops and give a little more room without pulling out the springs to install a spacer. Thoughts? I figure it's worth $13-$15 to give it a try. you might be able to adjust the stiffness a little by experimenting with where you put booster in the coils.

Keeping them off the stops visually is one thing bottoming out more often is something else! Get a spring that is tuned for more weight, my guess the Mopar spring used from your truck with the optional winch package may be perfect!
