So on here somewhere there was a thread with a list of recommended speakers for cheap upgrades, so I bought these pods and a set of Kicker speakers.
I put them in today by connecting them just to the larger plug as the instructions told me. All I get is bass out of them now. No mods or treble.
I assume that means that the factory speakers had crossovers and split lows in to one set and mids/highs in to the 2nd? If so, what's the solution here? I see JLJT Pods sell a set for the Alpine system with a tweet, does it just put all the highs on the tweeter and then only the lows to the 6.5"? That seems shitty and some of the mids should go to that 6.5" too, right??
Could I bridge the two cable sets together to the same 6.5" I have??

There is a crossover in the amp that sends the highs to the “tweeters”. I sat in the back seat once and noticed not much comes out of the bigger speaker in the soundbar. Pretty sure that the plugs are not bridgeable as I tried to replace the soundbar speakers with a set of Infinty components and the amp shut them off because of the reduced impedance.

With the split from the Alpine, I think the lead to the small speakers (mids/highs) would be better to use. I think the mid bases are band passed pretty low.

Yeah, the tweeter (small plug) is apparently 8ohm and the larger plug is 4ohm. Large plug only sends mid-bass (maybe 50-80khz at best?), so you can't connect them together. I suspect we could get some kind of an adapter, but it's not worth it. It would be much better for quality to just get a PAC, Amp and bypass all the factory crossovers and amps. That's my plan here soon any way now that I replaced speakers and realized how little difference it actually makes. I bet even the factory speakers would sound better if you did an amp upgrade, meaning that people are being guided to replace things in the wrong order here.
