Had you ever tried to remove one of the safety decals say on a 2007 to 2018 Wrangler Jk you would not be asking. Can tell you that they are near impossible to remove. 99 9/10 percent of the time you will see damage on the visor after the removal attempt.

I have the Pixeldecals blackouts on my JKU, would definitely buy them for a JL.

Thanks for the reassurance!

I did some poking around this morning at the JK forums before reaching out to Pixeldecals. Pixeldecals has a very good reputation in regard to their product offerings and for their customer service. Knowing this I reached out to Pixeldecals.

Always used Pixeldecals and very good quality. Yep damaged my visor on a previous Jeep trying to remove those safety stickers.

I’ll vouch for the quality. I had the blackout decals on my visor in my JK and loved them. He also worked with me to create some awesome custom decals.

I’d definitely use him again!

After 2011 the labels are kind of baked into the visor on the JKs. You really can't remove them. I am assuming they stayed with the same style with the JL.

With the JK and JL the warning labels are like baked on... heat applied by factory during application to visor so they are embedded slightly / heat sealed into the visor. Can tell you that if they could come off without marring I would have them off.

I think the tan interior also has black visors.
YES, I just verified, that even the tan interior 2018 JL/JLU's have black visors.

I tried to remove the warning decals on my new Mustang. They wouldn't lift off...heat treated, I guess. Someone mentioned using a hair dryer to warm up the decal. The decal softened and I was able to remove it. But the decal adhesive remained, impossible to remove! I ended up buying decal covers that fairly matched the visor material. You can see where the cover is...but a thousand times better than a garish yellow sticker.

I will take measurements during my lunch in about an hour and provide feedback asap. I will be the guinea pig so to speak. I had some really awesome camouflage decals in my Raptor that covered the awful yellow factory instructional stickers, and even said Raptor in the corner. Maybe in addition to the black, we could have some nice different patterns to choose from? Measurements to come very soon...stand by.

Paul, measurements have to be spot on/exact. Decal needs to cover warning label exactly with out any decal material going off the warning label. The decal will not stick to the visor material. The decal will only stick properly when adhered to the warning label itself. IF decal is to big you will see peeling all the way around the decal.

Thanks Paul!

No worries Bill, I will try to be as specific as possible. Thanks for the heads up.
