Definitely managed the orange wiring pulling it out of the harness...I guess go to the dealer and see if they can repair?

Sorry. Yes mangled. I was using a pick like videos had said and lightly pulling on the orange wire with small needle nose pliers.

I'm doing the aux switch install project...

The cable removed is the original orange cable...I'm then supposted to put that in the new connector that comes with the aux switch kit.
