After watching the video I posted I suspect only a few remove their SOT completely?

I'd wager 90% of owners never remove their hard top. It's a process that requires multiple hands. I swapped between the hard top and soft top on my 2016 maybe 3 times before leaving the hard top on for good.

After owning my 24 sahara for over 1 yr i just noticed this exposed wiring area when u open your rear window and look to left...should this have a cover over it?

My 25 looks the same but the coupler is a little further up and clicks in place.

I've pulled that piece down out of the hard top, like your pictures show, when disconnecting to take off the hard top. I thought I broke it. I pushed the connector back up into the hardtop and going forward, I hold onto it while pulling down on the part wired into the Jeep body, no further issues. I don't think you broke anything or anything is wrong there, just push it back up and in, it probably just fell down when you or someone else was trying to disconnect that connector.
