Is the 392 longer up front ?

Here is my Willys and my wife’s 392 gave to face . The small panel that’s behind the hood is longer by one inch on my wife’s JL392.

I had no idea they were different .

Could it be a 2 door vs 4 door difference?

They have different hoods so the cowl panel is different on the 392 than other models.

Same with the JT Mojave. It's the difference in the hood that requires different cowling.

Where are you measuring from? I know the 392 and Mojave are an inch taller at the cowling with the larger hood but I don't think the front is any different in lengths (at least with the Unlimited wheelbases).

I know the hood is different and the cowl is , I guess I didn’t expect the side pieces to be different too.

It's the same.

look at your 392 trim, it's gone pass the hinge, your willy's is shorter than the hinge.

You could just line them up by the mirrors to see if the front end is longer.

My bet is while the cowl is longer on the 392 as a result if the taller hood design, I'm 95% sure the cowl + hood lengths put together compared to the Willys are the same, why would they extend the nose and further increase costs for such a limited run vehicle, ESPECIALLY with the strict crash reg's we have nowadays.
