Install was very simple and took maybe 15 minutes. It works great and very glad I got it.

Is it necessary to remove for dealer oil changes? Seems like it would be annoying to do everytime I went in for oil changes.

I only go to dealer because they provide free oil changes, it is very expensive anywhere else (ecodiesel).

Were it a Pedal Commander, a Hike it x9, iDrive or similar, you would be aok leaving the throttle controller in place for a dealership oil change visit and for most (not all) dealership Service Dept. visits... BUT... since the Pedal Monster, unlike the Pedal Commander, Hike it, iDrive, etc. uses the OBDll port you will want to uninstall the Pedal Monster or at the least, disco the connection to the OBDll port.

By the way, do your homework in regard to the proper use of a throttle controller on your JL. Also, do know how to get your JL out of limp mode should that occur thanks to interaction of the Pedal Monster and the JL.

It would go into stock mode when unplugged? Just tuck it under the dash?

To be honest., I tested a few different throttle controllers for companies offering them, however I have never installed/used or dealt with a Pedal Monster.

I would think there would be no issues just disconnecting the OBDll port connection and tucking it up out of sight. Your JL would probably stay at the Pedal Monster mode you last used.

Hopefully, someone with a Pedal Monster will post and let you know. Also, no harm no foul in you trying so you know now, a head of time. You could ask Pedal Monster support...

I added to my last post.. " By the way, do your homework in regard to the proper use of a throttle controller on your JL. Also, do know how to get your JL out of limp mode should that occur thanks to interaction of the Pedal Monster and the JL. "

Do know that changing modes with a throttle controller while you are actively engaging the gas pedal can throw the JL into limp mode. It happens.. not always but it can happen.

I can vouche that the Pedal Monster doesn't go Limp mode while driving, like some of the others. The way it's set up it doesn't let you change while in motion/throttle engaged, though I have a manual so I would be coasting at a few mph in neutral and it lets me. They do put emphasis on safety which I appreciate.
I've had it for a few weeks and am thoroughly enjoying it, It has def become and integral part of my Jeep experience and best thing is it makes it easier for me to break traction on dirt rods, which was less than easy before, you really had to wind it.
No CEL or warnings, very good quality and engineering from a reputable company. I just wish they had Derringer tuner support for the Pentastar Jeep, (eco diesel is supported for derringer tuner)

I am also loving it. I have an auto and my goot has to be of the gas for me to change settings.
