I fit the hitch mount rack (the same as OP) on the jeep and it fits with the stock spare on but i can see that when i replace the spare with a 285 70 r17, it won't fit. ...i will have to get an extension.

I couldn't fit it with the stock tires, I went ahead and got an extension.

The rack just slides in underneath.... barely
